So
on my covenspace site a few friends and I are discussing the area of
availability, returns and perceptions and how they relate to majick.
All perception is definately not equal. All belief is not merely a
belief either. For instance how many times did you know something was
going to work out to your benefit and quite the contrary happen? Have
you ever bothered to use some hind sight, go back and look at the
clues, now passed, that were huge stop signs for you? Did you learn
about how your brain processes your desires and then proceeds to blind
you to facts?
As a majickal practitioner I have found a couple of things to be true. One is that just because I think something does not make it fact, it makes it a thought. The other thing is that what I draw to me in my life, be it my mundane life or majickal life ( to me they are one and the same) is exactly what I have stocked my pond with.
We all have our pond with our own fish in it. Every day, we stock it. We decide what kind of water is in there, fresh or fetid. We decide if there is viable fishing in there or genetic mutant fish waiting to eat us even though they are oh so pretty. What do we cast out and reel in every day of our lives? This too is part of our pond. As a matter of fact it just may be the biggest part of it..the day to day stuff we think nothing of.
When I find my life is pretty much smooth sailing it is because of the pond I have stocked and the waters I have put in there. It is because aI have watched my P's and Q's closely and done what ultimately is the right thing regardless of what others may think. That too is another thing about stocking your pond..not basing what goes in there in accordance with what is best for others but instead what is ultimately best for yourself and your life and journey.
In life, be it your mundane life or majickal life when you find things going haywire it may be time to look into your pond, see the intent, the deeds, the thoughts and perceptions you have placed in that pond..there you will find your answers and there at least you have all the control and power in the world to drain the pond and start again.

Great post! Second time in two days that fishing is the analogy with practitioners, and I've always wondered why so many think that fishing is into the nothingness or somethingness, like a crap shoot, instead of considering that they do indeed influence the lake!
OrendaCurious, why do you spell it 'majick' instead of say, magic, or magick?
