    Abundance

    Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 07:33 AM [majick]

You know I had a friend of mine introduce me to the idea of abundance cheques for a new moon ritual. I made one and invoiked all the good energy, favors and what have you I put out to come back to me.

It is funny to me how I thought that I should just let Karma take care of blessings and things, but upon thinking about it more, and the use of the cheque and what has come of it, I can see where while I may put out good stuff, I certainly have to be willing to understand it is up to me to recognize I deserve all of it back and to take it upon myself to make sure I get it back.

So far I have found a house to rent for cheap and it is two bedrooms, I am working more hours at my job and things in general are going well. What have I learned? Well I had the idea reaffirmed that if you want something, even when you deserve it, you have to actually aknowegde that, you have to know, to believe and to say you are worthy and call it back to you. I guess if we don't the Gods and the Universe usually won't send it. Maybe theat is what they wait on, for us to know and say 'I am am worth it and want it back'

Very interesting post! My Mr. G. has used abundance checks, actually. The man continuously, literally, receives unexpected monies. I believe he understands this give out and receive back phenom. He monthly donates to a local charity that does good work. And he receives so much back in return.

Another close friend of mine, who is a Christian, talks about "giving money to receive money" (this may sound calculating in this message, but it's not in her practice). She explains it by saying that if she is able to find money to give to those who have little, God finds the resources to return to her and improves her lot so that she can give more.

It's interesting, yes? I have learned that when I focus on lack, I don't have enough. When I focus on my abundance, I have plenty.

    :)

GREAT post! And congrats on the new home and extra work hours!

    Best Blessings!

In the book Urban Primitive, the authors metaphorically define magick by discussing fishing—to cast out that line with hook. Seems to me that you must fish, to both cast then reel it in!

Abundance cheque spells are often casted without the thought process you had... that your Free Will to ask matched your belief that you karmically earned it. You were only fishing for your needs based on the bounty of having contributed to the lake. That concept is very often lost on other practitioners I think.

    Blessings on your bounty!

Thank you both for the comments. Yes it is true if we focus on lack that is all we see..what we don't have and further more it doesn't come. In majick it is much like fishing, however it is shall we say 'stocked pond' fishing. You can only catch what is in the pond and further more it is what YOU personally have put in that pond that is coming for or to you. Many too don't understand about the area of availability..forget where I heard it called that but that is what most call it
